PASL Texas Strikers Announce New GM, Lance Noble for 2014 – 2015 Season
Professional Soccer Gets Boost in Southeast Texas
Beaumont, TX – Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) Beaumont franchise, Texas Strikers, announce the signing of new General Manager Lance Noble. Former General Manager Chris “Topper” Cogan will retain his position as head coach. Noble comes to Southeast Texas with over 17 years of experience as a soccer player, coach, head coach, and general manager. He has come to Beaumont to rejuvenate the league owned franchise and is excited to get to work on the pitch and off.
“We need to become a presence in the community from an administrative standpoint and a management standpoint,” Noble says. Noble officially begins his time with the Texas Strikers on May 1, 2014, but came to Beaumont in April and hit the ground running. “I have been going full steam ahead because that's my nature; I'm here, let's get it done, let's start working,” he continues.
Noble is also hoping to partner with Liverpool Football Club of America (LFCA). LFCA announced the renaming and inclusion of local youth soccer academy, Gusher United, to the LFCA family on Sunday, April 27, 2014. He hopes a partnership with LFCA will create a complete community of soccer players in Beaumont, TX.
He brings to the Strikers NCAA D1, 2, 3, NAIA, and JUCO level certifications. He has coached at the professional level for USISL, USL, and most recently as Head Coach and general manager with the PASL Alamo SC San Antonio, finishing the regular season ranked #1 amongst all teams in the US, Mexico, and Canada . In Noble's two years in San Antonio he never lost a PASL game at home.
Player scouting has begun and open tryouts will begin closer to the season start this fall. Businesses and organizations in the community are also invited to become part of the fastest growing sport in America by participating in Texas Strikers' pre-game events, half time shows, and partnering in sponsorship opportunities. In 2013-14, the Strikers participated in a variety of community events including H.E.B.'s Feast of Giving at Ford Park and Southeast Texas Museum of Art's Annual Tree Lighting festival. They also partnered with Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in the Healthy Kickers program to help educate Beaumont students on the importance of healthy eating and active lifestyles. Noble hopes to continue the Strikers community involvement this season. “It is essential that we continue to be as involved as possible in the community.”
It's exciting times for soccer in Southeast Texas and the Strikers are pleased to have such an enthusiastic General Manager at the helm. “I'm excited to be here. I'm looking forward to the upcoming season. My goal is to find every possible way to get this franchise to stay in Beaumont,” Noble finishes.
